Before you apply here you must have posted in the Sorting Hat board and must have been accepted.
Teaching and Lesson Rules
- In each subject, there will be held at least three lessons in one school year (The beginning of September to the end of June). Please entitle the lessons with "Lesson 1", "Lesson 2" and "Lesson 3". The teachers may choose when to hold their lessons - one lesson is meant to last one week, seven days, with the teacher asking questions and interacting with the students, teaching them.
- Teachers are to notify me two weeks in advance before they wish their lesson to take place. Any teacher missing their lesson will lose their teaching position.
- After each lesson, the teacher should give homework to the students and set a date to hand in this homework via pm. Those handed in pms should be graded, and the teacher should pm the students back with the results or comments. A handed in homework brings 10 points to the hourglass.
- Each lesson is to be divided into three different threads: The lesson for the students in the years 1-3 in one thread, students in the years 4 and 5 in a second thread, and year 6 and 7 in a third one. Please, as teacher, keep in mind that first years have different topics to learn about than seventh years, who prepare for their NEWTs. The subject topics are supposed to gradually become more difficult from first to seventh year. Please mark those threads differently, for example: "Lesson 1 - Years 1-3"; Or: "Lesson 1 for years 4 and 5"; Or: "Lesson 1: Years 6/7";
- Please pm myself with the awarded housepoints, so that I can add them / take them away in the Hourglasses on the forum's left side.

The Teacher Application
Your character's name: Gwyneth Lee Jones
What subject does your character want to teach?: Divination
What qualifies your character for becoming a teacher?: Gwyneth is an Empath, a variation on the classic powers of a Seer, making her a Diviner by nature. At Hogwarts she excelled at Divination, her specilites in the subject being tea leaf reading, tarot cards, Astrology, and Auspices (divination through bird watching). Her natural gifts coupled with her talents at fortune telling make her an excellent candidate for Divination Professor.
Why does your character wish to become a teacher?: Gwyneth is naturally a leader (well, to be frank, she's bossy) and so a job where she can be in a position of authority has always been her goal. She loves Divination, and though she sometimes admits that it can be woolly she enjoys practicing it. Before she became a teacher she tutored fellow students in Divination, as well as teaching others for fun and displaying her gifts at parties (ever seen what happens when you whip out a pack of tarot cards at a boring get together? Everyone goes wild!).
All in all, Gwyneth just loves to teach, she loves Hogwarts, and she loves Divination. It's the perfect job!
