Look
General Appearance: Until recently, Lily had a slightly awkward appearance. She is only 160 cm (5'3"0, and though there's a chance that she could get taller she's been the same height since her First Year. She's always been somewhat thin and gangly as well, so needless to say her body shape was somewhat twig-like.
Until this summer. Recently Lily has started to (finally!) get her curves and (dare she jinx herself) a rather nice bosom.
Aside from her changing body, Lily pretty much looks the same as she always has: fair skin, fiery red hair, and bright green eyes. With an oval face and a habit of chronic smiling, Lily generally looks like a very happy girl, even when she's completely swamped with homework and exams are imminent.
Lily adores her wizarding robes, but her Muggle wardrobe is important to her as well. Her closet consists mostly of jumpers, denim trousers, and some hand-me-down clothing items from her older sister Petunia, but Lily does pride herself on her collection of wide-legged bellbottoms. A true Gryffindor, her two favourite pair are red courderoy and yellow polyester.
Eye Colour: Bottle green, almond shaped eyes
Hair Colour: Fiery red, though given the right conditions it can look strawberry blonde

Personal History: Lily is the youngest child of Charles and Joyce Evans. She was born near Spinner's End in northern England, in a very industrial and sort of shabby area. Her family was a very close one, and for a good portion of her early life she and Petunia were thick as thieves. Though the Evans did not have the most money, Lily and her older sister Petunia were never in want for anything, and almost all of Lily's early childhood memories are happy.
Almost, except for the times she did strange things without meaning to, like the time she was playing tag with Petunia. Lily had been five, and when she had looked behind to see Petunia hot on her trail she had been so scared she suddenly found herself sitting in the giant oak tree in her front yard, thirty feet off the ground. It had taken her daddy, a large ladder, and a lolly to get Lily down and soothe her frightened crying.
But aside from these odd occassional happenings, she was a normal Muggle girl, living a normal Muggle life. She went to a normal Muggle school and had normal Muggle friends, like her friend Erica Smith that spent time in town during the summer months. Everything was Muggle. And normal.
Until she turned 9. It was then that Lily met a slightly odd but intriguing neighborhood boy named Severus. He didn't go to the same school as her, and so she would meet him in the park most afternoons to play. He was different from the other kids, and though most of the neighbhood wanted nothing to do with him Lily found herself drawn towards him. It was Severus that helped Lily make sense of the strange things that sometimes happened to her. He was the one that told her she was a witch, something Lily never really believed until she recieved her Hogwarts letter and saw Severus on the train First Year.
Lily loved everything about being a witch: her powers, the school, her new friends. Petunia, however, hated the fact that Lily was a witch. This hurt Lily deeply, and even the fact that her parents were exceedingly proud of her couldn't soothe her. The one thing that made it better was Severus, who continually stuck by Lily whenever she got a bit blue. He became her best friend, and even though he was a Slytherin and she a Gryffindor they are still friends till this day.
Character Traits
Personality: Lily has always been an emotionally driven sort of person. As a young child she was often described by her mum as "sensitive" as she easily took what others said to heart. This was sometimes bad, but more often good. It allowed Lily to be very keen about others, giving her a sort of sensitivity to people's characters. This gave rise to her mother hen instincts, causing her to play nurse to everything (her teddy bear and pet parakeet, for example) and everyone (Petunia and Severus) around her.
As she got older Lily didn't become less sensitive, but she became more stubborn and better at pushing her emotions further up her sleeve. Combined with her inclination to take care of everyone around her, this made Lily fiercly loyal to her family and friends. Even though Lily's natural curiosity and eagerness to learn made her a shoe-in for Ravenclaw, the Sorting Hat picked up on her loyalty and placed her in Gryffindor.
Strengths: School work has always come easily to Lily, and since magic is still something new and wonderful to her even after three years she still has a voracious curiosity to learn more about it, making her a gifted student. She is particularily strong in potions, and it is actually her favourite subject.
Lily is also very confident and often unafraid of speaking her mind. Her dad calls her headstrong, but Lily prefers to describe it as blatant honesty.'
Weaknesses: Even though Lily seems confident, she often doubts herself. She may seem unafraid to speak her mind and tough to those around her, but really she's still the same softie she always has been. The world may have taught her to grow thicker skin, but that doesn't change the fact that she is still very sensitive when you get to the bottom of things.
Other Information
Pets: Her small grey tabby kitten, Quintessa, given to her from her parents as a birthday gift during her third year
Wand: Willow, 10 1/4", Unicorn hair core; swishy, good for charm work
Role-play Example:
It was a quiet afternoon in the library for Lily. She tapped her quill against her temple, trying to figure out the phrasing of the next sentence she was going to write. She had been putting off this potions essay for two days, and after awaking to find it raining rather hard outside she had decided to make the most of this dreary Saturday and catch up on her schoolwork.
After scribbling a few more lines she paused and looked out the window, watching the rain pelt the glass as thunder rumbled in the distance. Lily loved storms and found them to be quite tranquil. Petunia was terrified of storms and would be trembling under the desk. If Petunia were here... Lily shook her head, trying to put that thought to an end before it began.
Luckily she didn't need much help in distracting herself. At that precise moment she could hear the sniggers of some boys in the shelves next to her, and looked up in time to see James Potter and his cohorts walk by. Wherever they went, trouble was sure to follow. Great. Just what Lily needed.
