Personal History: Bianca grew up in a rich pureblood family, but her parents weren't obsessed with that fact. They never acted as though they were better than others and so Bianca never felt entitled to anything like other purebloods of her status might. Bianca grew up in a loving environment which made her a very friendly child. When she was nine her parents were killed in a car crash and she was shipped off to her grandfathers house in England.
After that she became withdrawn and moody. She never really got close to anyone when she went off to Hogwarts. Instead she concentrated on her school work. The closest thing she has to a friend is her grandfather who is incredibly understanding to her situation. When she left for Hogwarts he gave her an owl so that they could write each other weekly and she does, religiously. She never misses a letter, but it's usually the only thing she really does with her spare time besides study.
Before coming to Hogwarts she would travel around the world with her grandfather on his business trips. It's the one thing she misses since coming to Hogwarts. She got to see so many beautiful places that she half wishes she'd been a squib so that she could've continued traveling with him. Of course she never voiced that to anyone especially her grandfather. Her parents had both been powerful wizards and to her grandfather that would be blasphemous to their names.
Bianca’s grandfather is incredibly nurturing and loving but even he knows he can’t break through the hard shell Bianca created around her heart. He wants her to be happy but he can’t seem to be able to understand what keeps her from being the same girl she was when she was younger. Over the years Bianca learned to pretend with him to keep him happy. She doesn’t want him thinking he did a poor job at raising her when the truth is that she just can’t pull herself out of her misery. Even after five years she still remembers clearly the day her parents died. The only reason they’d even been on the road is because she’d gotten mad at them and had run off. They’d been out looking for her and essentially she blamed herself.
Character Traits
Personality: Bianca is frigid towards most people and she knows her dormmates and fellow classmates call her an Ice Witch behind her back. She can't find in it herself to care though because she doesn't want to open herself up to the pain of losing someone again. Which is why she distances herself from everyone around her. Bianca is incredibly intelligent and she prides herself on getting top marks in every class. She can't bring herself to even contemplate taking divination for the simple fact that it seems like an incredibly ludicrous class.
Although Bianca pretends that everything is fine, she knows she could never fool herself into believing that entirely. She knows she's a completely different person then what she used to be but she long ago decided that the change was for the better. Even though she doesn't have friends and does tend to get lonely she'd rather be lonely than be hurt again. At times she can tell that her teachers want to talk to her about it but don't feel it's their place and she's relieved about that. She doesn't have to pretend to be normal when she's at school like she does when she's with her grandfather. It's exhausting to put on a fake smile day in and day out.
Strengths: Bianca excels at charms and defense against the dark arts.
Weaknesses: Transfiguration is Bianca's weakest class but she works hard to make up for that fact. She also doesn't seem to have the people skills she had when she was younger.
Other Information
Pets: Great Horned Owl, named Tesoro which means little darling.
Wand: 12 1/4 inch rosewood with chimaera scale
Role-play Example:
Bianca strode down the corridor books in hand as she walked towards the library. She ignored the looks she got from the people in the hall, she knew they all thought she was haughty but she couldn't care less. She remembered a time when some had tried to become her friend but it hadn't taken long for her to turn them away from that thought. She wasn't looking for friends, all she wanted was to finish school with top grades. The last thing she wanted was to become attached to other people. She knew that life was far too fragile and the last thing she wanted was to lose more people she loved.
The only person in the world that she needed was her grandfather, although she didn't relay to him that she didn't have any friends. She knew he would worry and try to force her to make them and even if she wanted to she knew it was too late for that. People avoided her like the plague. It could be because she'd torn people to shreds with her words before to make them act that way. Pushing open the door to the library she walked towards a table in the back and laid out her books. She continued to ignore the people around her and started working on her potions essay.
Just as Bianca finished the essay she heard a chair pulled out across from her. Glancing up she raised an eyebrow at the boy who sat down across from her. She didn't recognize him but she could tell he was older than her. He leaned across the table and sent her a smirk, "So do you always study by yourself?"
A slow smirk crossed Bianca's own face and her eyes narrowed marginally. She spoke slowly as though she were speaking to a child. "I do find it more useful than studying with a bunch of nitwits. I suppose that's what you do."
The boy frowned, "Guess it is true what they say about you." He muttered something under his breath that caused Bianca's smirk to widen slightly.
"See now if you studied around smarter people you'd be able to think up a more interesting insult." She clucked her tongue at him and turned back to her work, ignoring him at that point. She could practically hear the scowl that crossed his face as he shoved his chair back and stood up.
